Independent Forensics is accredited by both the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and the New York State Department of Health Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Program for family relationship testing. IFI partakes in 3 proficiency test series per year for relationship testing.
Forensic Identity Testing
Independent Forensics is accredited for forensic identity testing by the ANSI National Accreditation Board, New York State Department of Health Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Program, and Texas Forensic Science Commission.

The following tests are accredited by the New York State for Forensic Identity
- Body Fluid Identification: RSID tests to Blood, Saliva, Semen and Urine.
- Identification of feces by PCR-based test for detection of fecal bacteria.
- Sperm Hy-Liter test for detection of human sperm cells.
